END OF SUMMER PICNIC

I can't believe summer is already over. Josh and I have been in school for about a month now & I still find myself daydreaming about this day. It was such a perfect way of ending our first wonderful summer as a married couple. I grew to appreciate Josh so much more as I saw him work two jobs to provide for our little family. He is such a great example to me of selfless love, sacrifice, and of overcoming challenges with enthusiasm. He made my summer one to remember! (Especially since he was such a trooper for letting me snap pics of everything we did)

BITS OF SUMMER

OUR BIRTHDAY WEEK

When Josh & I met, we joked about how since our birthdays were so close, if we were both still in Rexburg we would throw a party. I can't believe that a year later, we really were celebrating it together once again, but now as a married couple. I seriously love having our birthdays so close. It's a whole week of BIRTHDAY FUN! 

Josh's birthday comes first, and I love waking up early to decorate our apartment. You can't have birthdays without birthday breakfast, birthday balloons, and birthday decorations all around the house (I go very Leslie Knope on holidays & birthdays). I was just so happy to be celebrating Josh and all the wonderful things he brings into my life. 

               

My birthday comes just 4 days after his & I was so excited to spend my 21st with my sweet husband. He woke me up to flowers & a birthday breakfast. We then headed to Packsaddle lake, went on a 1hr hike, and swam around in such a beautiful place. I even got some visits from the Ennis family, and some sweet friends. It was perfect!

I seriously love birthdays and I'm so excited to spend so many more BIRTHDAY WEEKS with my wonderful hubby. 

                        

ALL I SEE IS FIREWORKS

So Fourth of July weekend, we headed down to Utah to spend the Fourth with some family. We could not wait to leave Rexburg for a few days! It's always nice to get away from the usual routine and plan some adventures outside of our Rexburg home.
I seriously love spending time in Utah with family. We wake up to cousins, laughs, and constant card games. And on Fourth of July we headed to the pool, had dinner at Denny's, and then headed to Stadium of Fire in Provo! Journey was their headline performance and it was seriously super sweet!
We had so much fun in Utah and cannot wait for another mini-vacation! (Oh & also my birthday, whadupp!)

WARM SLOUGH CAMPING TRIP

Josh, May, and I went on a mini camping trip this past weekend! It was just what we needed! This past week was a little rough, but it's nothing a mini-vacation can't fix. We camped over at Warm Slough camping grounds & we had a really nice spot by the river. We even spotted a moose! We only camped for one night but it was perfect. We had tin foil dinners, played some guitar, and dreamed about touching the stars. I love having a camping buddy that makes each moment memorable.
